MAMARONECK – A former Larchmont bank branch manager has pleaded guilty to stealing $365,000 from customers.

Jeremy Winter, 31, of Ridgefield, Connecticut, admitted Thursday to stealing from customers of the TD Bank at 107 Chatsworth Ave.

Winter withdrew a total of $745,000 from the accounts of several accounts and deposited it into his own personal account or that of a relative, using some of the money for his own use and the rest to pay back victims in order to avoid detection, officials said.

He also forged a withdrawal slip for $100,000.

Some of the $365,000 that Winter kept for himself went to pay off personal loans and contractors he had hired to do home improvement, officials said.

The bank reported the theft to Larchmont police in September 2012 and Winter was arrested Feb. 28, 2013.

Held on $100,000 bail, Winter pleaded guilty to second-degree grand larceny and first-degree scheme to defraud, both felonies. He is to be sentenced Aug. 14.

Winter faces a maximum of 15 years in prison and, as a condition of sentencing, will pay restitution of $225,000 immediately and the remaining $140,000 later, officials said.
