NEW YORK – Joan Rivers' daughter says loved ones are hopeful about the comedian's condition as she remains hospitalized three days after going into cardiac arrest at a New York City doctor's office.

Melissa Rivers said in a statement Sunday that "we are keeping our fingers crossed." She's thanking people for expressing their support.

The Mount Sinai Hospital said Sunday that it had no updates to release on the 81-year-old Rivers' health.

Rivers, a former Larchmont resident, was taken to Mount Sinai on Thursday. She'd spoken the day before at an employee event at Time Inc. in New York. Spectators there said she had appeared to be well.

Rivers is the host of "Fashion Police" on E! and presides over an online talk show, "In Bed With Joan." She also co-stars with her daughter on the WEtv reality show "Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?"

Two of her co-stars on "Fashion Police" tweeted their support for Joan and her family Saturday.

"Praying for Joan Rivers and Mel Rivers," Giuliana Rancic tweeted. "Even though Joan's the strongest woman I know, every single prayer counts. I love you, Joan."

"4 the first time in years I got down on my knees & prayed tonight!" Kelly Osbourne wrote. "I encourage U 2 do the same 4 Joan Rivers my grandma!"

The last time lohud.com caught up with the legendary comedian, she seemed happy to be healthy at age 80.

"They keep telling me I'm 80 and I think they made a mistake," she said. "Everything is still working! I think the whole key is that I'm one of the lucky ones. I got to make a living doing what I love."
