Mamaroneck woman dies a week after house fire

A Mamaroneck woman died a week after suffering smoke inhalation in a fire at her townhouse.

Graceanne Raffa, 73, died Wednesday at Westchester Medical Center, according to the Westchester County medical examiner's office.

Town of Mamaroneck firefighters rescued Raffa after her Larchmont townhouse at 8 Hommocks Road caught fire on the morning of Feb. 11, Fire Chief Noah Goldberg said last week. She was then taken to Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital.

Firefighters had quickly extinguished the fire that started in a boiler. The townhouse was heavily damaged by the blaze.
