Storm: 32K without power after Tuesday storm, down from 54K
Just over 32,000 customers in the Lower Hudson Valley are without power Wednesday night after a storm ripped through the region on Tuesday.
That's down from about 54,000 earlier in the day.
Workers have been clearing downed trees and repairing damaged power lines throughout the area on Wednesday. As of 8:30 p.m., here's the latest power outage information for the area, where 32,241 customers are without power:
NYSEG: 21,158 customers in Putnam County are without power, including about 3,500 in Patterson and about 5,200 in Kent, which were both hit by tornadoes, according to the National Weather Service. There are also about 8,000 customers without power in Carmel and about 2,100 in Putnam Valley.
There are 9,941 Westchester customers without power, including 4,600 in Somers.

Consolidated Edison: 751 customers in Westchester County without power, according to Con Ed's website, which said customers could expect to have their power back no later than Thursday at 11 p.m.
Orange and Rockland Utility: 1,391 in Rockland County are without power, according to O&R's website. The utility company said customers could expect to have their power back by midnight.

The U.S Postal Service in a statement said that "mail delivery will be made to those neighborhoods in the Greater Hudson Valley that are accessible and where safe to do so." USPS said power outages are affecting 30 post offices in six counties, including Westchester and Putnam.
Today's Section 1 Class D girls lacrosse opening-round playoff games were postponed.
