Solomon Schechter Lions

Coach: Chelsey Kail, third season

Gone but not forgotten: Lulu Wein, Eden Gilbert

For schedules and scores, check the boys and girls soccer blogs on lohud.com/sports.

Last year: 7-6

Returning starters: 5

Scorers: Reese Cohen

Playmakers: Abby Jaeger

Stoppers: Lauren Winters

Hustlers: Tamar Kellner, Alexa Cotel-Altman

Goalies: TBD

Style of play: Spread the field to attack and shoot often

Rivals: Our eyes are on Haldane again for the third year in a row. If we see them, we will be looking to be more competitive and challenge them more than ever.

Outlook: "I expect us to be a top contender in our league. With the drop of a Tuckahoe team, we will match more evenly with YMA. We have some young blood on our team but hard workers. We are a strong team offensively. We will be looking to Reese Cohen to lead us offensively and Lauren Winters to lead our defense." - Chelsey Kail

Team previews will be running daily until the start of the season in early September. Coaches, if you did not receive an e-mail and would like to showcase your team, please follow the format here and email it to mdougher@lohud.com.
