The rest of the Journal News/lohud first team all-stars:

P — Nicole Rosner, Brewster: One half of the most lethal pitching combo in the section, the senior went 10-2 with 111 strikeouts in 79 1/3 innings. Opponents hit just .190 against Rosner, who posted a 1.85 earned-run average.

C — Amber Badillo, Lakeland: The UMBC-bound senior hit .432 with six home runs and 33 RBI as the No. 3 hitter on the best lineup in the section. Badillo’s leadership behind the plate was invaluable to the Section 1 Class A champions.

INF — Danielle Petrovich, Panas: The highlight of the year for the Stony Brook-bound senior was a three-homer, nine-RBI day against Mahopac on Apr. 27. Petrovich also homered twice (and was robbed of a third) in a playoff game on May 18.

INF — Cameron Lischinsky, Lakeland: During a year in which the LIU Post-bound senior second baseman hit .453 with seven home runs, five triples, and seven doubles, Lischinsky is also believed to be the only player to ever hit for the cycle in a Section 1 final.

INF — Kelly Dovi, Brewster: The senior shortstop hit .464 with two home runs out of the leadoff spot and continued to play the stellar defense that has earned her all-state recognition.

INF — Mia Steinberg, Mamaroneck: The senior shortstop added one last feather to her cap after helping propel the Tigers to an upset over defending section champs John Jay-East Fishkill in the section quarterfinals. Steinberg will take her talents to Tufts next season.

OF — Kayla Castro, Ursuline: The senior capped off her stellar career by hitting an even .500 and winning Most Valuable Position Player honors in a league that included section semifinalists Mamaroneck.

Port Chester softball player Brooklyn Ostrowski is pictured at a game in Yonkers, April 29, 2017.

OF — Brooklyn Ostrowski, Port Chester: After verbally committing to Fordham in November, the freshman showed why she was such a hot commodity this season. Ostrowski hit .544 with 11 home runs, six triples, and five doubles for the Rams, who more than doubled their win total from last year.

OF — Lindsey McLaughlin, Brewster: The senior slugger tied for the team lead with a .494 batting average and collected 12 extra-base hits, including five triples.

UTIL — Gianna Magrino, Mamaroneck: It’s hard to find a brighter breakout star this season than Magrino. The sophomore sensation went 14-5 with a 1.17 ERA and hit .479 with seven home runs and 32 RBI.

UTIL — Makayla Koehler, Brewster: The other half of the Bears’ pitching tandem, Koehler was undefeated at 10-0 with a 0.83 ERA. The senior also hit .494 with 19 RBI and scored a team-high 34 runs.
