PEEKSKILL – A Croton-on-Hudson man is facing a felony charge after he drove drunk with two children in his vehicle over the holiday weekend, state police said.

Paul Robertson, 38, was stopped on the Bear Mountain State Parkway and arrested about 12:15 a.m. Sunday at a sobriety checkpoint conducted by state, Westchester County and Peekskill police.

An investigation revealed Robertson had a blood-alcohol content of 0.09 percent; the legal limit is 0.08 percent. Two children under the age of 15 were found in his vehicle at the time of the stop, state police said in a news release. It was not immediately clear if the kids were Robertson's.

Robertson was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra's Law, which makes it a felony to drive drunk with a child younger than 16 in the car.

He was released to appear in Peekskill City Court on July 14.
